Monsterfest is sooooo good.

It is my favorite time of the year once again, and I am enjoying thoroughly. No not the fall foliage, no not that the season is changing to the best season of the year and no not that the rangers began play and the hockey season is in full swing. The real reason Monsterfest is back on AMC, and I couldn't be more super excited about it. Like today I woke up and got to watch kids run a town and not in that shitty new reality show that should be cancelled but in Children of the corn. Kid Nation is like Children of the corn with no violence, and when I say violence I mean no dead or evil demons that the outlander kills, but thats a side note. Where else during the week and a half before halloween can you watch classics like hellraiser, hellraiser II, halloween 1-7, puppet master, the frighteners, and random pieces of the Friday the thirteen saga. There are more but just not enough time. There can be no greater review of monsterfest than this Vertigo698: i dont have it
Vertigo698: it makes me sad. See it makes him sad to not have it.

Now on to the thing that started this rant, how good Friday the Thirteen part 7 is. People die in the most awesome of all ways in that movie and it rocks. Even though the movie's theme is basically a complete ripoff of Carrie, and it makes little sense to me that a girl with psychic abilities could A revive a dead corpse and B revive the wrong at the bottom of crystal lake. Just stupid but whatever. They made up for the lack of story line with some of the sweetest deaths ever. #1 girl in sleeping bag. What? how could this be awesome? Well Jason kills the boyfriend and then comes for the girl, when she runs... 7 ft into her tent and then into her sleeping bag (which she zips up just in case you were wondering) which instead of stabbing or anything like that he picks up the sleeping bag and beats her against the tree, simply genious. #2 Jason kills with a modified weedwhacker, to begin with where does Jason get the techincal know how on how to modify a weedwhacker to have a buzzsaw on the end I do not know. Moving along, but chasing the constant asshole of the movie through the woods with it for a solid 10 minutes was awesome. #3 chokeslam out the second story window, not as awesome as the first 2 but still awesome. All in all a classic movie.

On another plus side in 2 days I finally get to see the final chapter of Halloween that I have missed every year because AMC didn't own the rights to it until this year. Halloween the curse of Michael Myers, YES! It is going to be so good to find out the end of Jamie Lloyd, after watching all of the characters try to protect the little one through. Review of this movie after I get a chance to watch it. It's going to be so good.
